Party In The Paddock is turning the volume all the way up for 2027. Supported by the Tasmanian Government through Events Tasmania, Australia’s “biggest little festival” returns to Quercus Park, on the banks of the tilapangka/Liffey River in Lutruwita/Tasmania, from 4 - 7 February 2027 for four huge days of music, culture, community and all-out festival mayhem.
Back for its 14th edition, PITP 2027 is shaping up as one of the most ambitious chapters yet, bringing together some of the biggest names in Australian music, rising global stars and the next generation of festival favourites.
Leading the charge and closing out Sunday night are Australian hip-hop legends Hilltop Hoods. With their ninth album Fall From The Light becoming their seventh ARIA #1 - a record for an Australian group - the Adelaide trio bring their iconic catalogue, huge live energy and unmistakable sound to the Paddock. Gang Of Youths return to the Paddock to head up Friday night with a live show renowned for its emotional intensity, intimacy and sheer connection. Expect catharsis, vulnerability and celebration from one of Australia’s most compelling live bands.
Saturday night belongs to electronic trailblazer Ninajirachi, whose album I Love My Computer debuted at #1 on the ARIA Dance Albums Chart and who has taken her boundary-pushing club energy everywhere from Coachella and Lollapalooza to Laneway. And kicking things off on Thursday night, The Jungle Giants bring their dancefloor-ready indie-pop to the Paddock, fresh from their ARIA #1 album Experiencing Feelings of Joy.
But the heavy-hitters don’t stop there. Rock favourites Violent Soho are back on stage after a four-year hiatus, bringing their raw, raucous and unmistakably Australian sound. G Flip brings their explosive live show, serving up a powerhouse mix of drums, pop and rock, infectious energy and anthemic hooks. Australian songwriting icon Missy Higgins, with seven ARIA #1s and 32 ARIA nominations to her name, joins the lineup with a catalogue of beloved songs and guaranteed festival-wide singalongs, while ARIA Award-winning Lime Cordiale bring their sun-drenched indie-pop to the Paddock stage.
Rising British alt-pop star Holly Humberstone arrives on the back of her latest album Cruel World, while Sydney’s Don West rides the global soul revival all the way to the Paddock with songs from his ARIA-charting debut Give Me All Your Love. Aotearoa New Zealand alt-pop powerhouses Balu Brigada, whose debut album Portal has racked up more than 328 million streams, and Brighton (UK) punk provocateurs Lambrini Girls complete the top of the bill.
Joining them are genre-defying Melbourne powerhouse Ecca Vandal, Blue Mountains electronic duo Hermitude, electronic dance heavyweight Odd Mob, Melbourne’s irreverent purveyors of self-described ‘bogan funk’ Playlunch, Newcastle indie-rockers Rum Jungle and house selector Dean Turnley, a mainstay of Australia’s underground for close to a decade. Aotearoa New Zealand electro-pop icon Ladyhawke brings hits like My Delirium and Paris Is Burning, and acclaimed Warnindhilyagwa singer-songwriter Emily Wurramara, from Groote Eylandt, brings her soulful blend of folk, roots and blues, sung in both English and Anindilyakwa.
And that’s just the beginning.
Also joining the lineup is an extraordinary collection of Australian and international talent, including Stand Atlantic, Bella Claxton, Sarah Kinsley (USA), Drama (USA), Lady Shaka, Marlon Funaki (USA), hey, nothing (USA), MAY-A, Daine, BL3SS (UK), Fanny Lumsden, BOY SODA, Becca Hatch, Beddy Rays, Cat & Calmell, Shady Nasty, Day We Ran, Trials, Mid Drift, C.O.F.F.I.N, Yes Boone, Nina Las Vegas, Spike Fuck, Selve, Maddy Jane, The Gnomes, Mincy, Sleepazoid, Milo Eastwood, Carla Martinez, Y.O.G.A., Mikalah Watego, Swapmeet, Miles Nautu, PASH, Mudrat, PowderKeg, xiao xiao, Lucky, D.D. Mirage, Cooee, Lemonise, Flow Kobra, Middle Palms, TEENS, Abby Wallace, Kiz, Captain O’Brien’s Craic, Backyard Business, EWAH & The Vision of Paradise, TIM BOH, Isle Two, Secret Door, Sophentai, WUD, Elkie Kershaw, 19 in Poland, Tacit Half, Jocelyn, Bush Spice, Sunburn, Summer Alexander, Townie, Gee NT, Foxx, 7CDS, Loe, Positive Spin, Lachy Hurrell and Mare, plus a triple j Unearthed act and a special guest still to be announced.
It’s an eclectic mix of established favourites, international standouts and emerging artists, including more than 20 acts from right here in Lutruwita/Tasmania. From hip-hop and electronic to indie, rock, pop, punk, soul and everything in between, PITP 2027 is once again bringing together a lineup that refuses to sit inside one genre or one box.
As always, Party In The Paddock is about far more than what happens on stage. Across the weekend, festival-goers can expect the return of the unique PITP experience that has made the festival one of Tasmania’s most loved summer events. Alongside the music is a packed program of art, culture, comedy, artist interviews and live podcasts, drag and cabaret, markets, food and drink, wellness activities, community experiences and plenty of unexpected moments.
With six stages and spaces spread throughout Quercus Park - the Paddock Arena, Vibestown Arena, Bigtop Dance Tent, Silvertongue Stage, the Bullpen and Little Island Stage - whether you’re there for the biggest names in Australian music, discovering your next favourite artist, dancing until sunrise, soaking up the Tasmanian summer or simply hanging out with your mates, Party In The Paddock 2027 is shaping up to be an unforgettable four-day adventure.
